Tiger Martial Arts strongly supports student and parent coaches! TMA coaches must go through the USATKD Associate Coach program for their initial certification, and may continue onwards through higher level programs with the USA Taekwondo.

In addition, coaches must meet regularly with Master Hung and Master Wong for coach’s seminars where we receive additional instruction that is unique to our school.

Coaching Philosophy

Coaches and athletes form a team with the purpose of finding success in a match. For beginning athletes, the coach provides guidance and motivation. For advanced athletes, the coach provides strategy and observations of the opposing player and of the athlete. In all cases, coaches should encourage, educate, and empower.
